Hi! I’m Cal - a cinematographer and editor based on Ngunnawal Country, Canberra.

For the past eight years, I’ve made high-end sports content, focusing on the people and their stories behind elite competitions such as the Olympics and Paralympics.

I’ve traveled the world with Australian teams to international sporting events including the 2022 Birmingham and 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, and the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Paralympics.

Most recently, I led the shoot and edit on The Long Run, a prime-time Channel Nine documentary following 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander runners on a six-month journey from Alice Springs to the TCS New York City Marathon, mentored along the way by sporting legends Buddy Franklin and Johnathan Thurston.

In 2024, I directed, shot and edited Beyond the Dream: Forged in Steel, a prime-time Channel Nine documentary following the Australian Steelers wheelchair rugby team as they fought for their place at the Paris Paralympic Games.

As a filmmaker I have received 12 festival awards, most recently winning Best Cinematography at Sony’s Catchlight Film Festival for my short film Metamorphosis.

Whether I’m working with athletes or other creatives, I’m drawn to people chasing their passions.
